CULVER CITY, CA – Wed., Sept. 21, 2016 – Sony Movie Channel gets spooky with an October lineup packed with monster movies and horror favorites, as well as classic comedies, Western adventures, and more. This month’s roster includes stunts starring acclaimed leading men William Holden and Tom Cruise; Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone in ZOMBIELAND; a night of laughs starring John Candy, John Belushi, and Dan Aykroyd; and a horrifying Halloween Weekend block featuring THE FOG, THE TINGLER, SWAMP THING, ANACONDA, and many more.

Holden—Wed., October 5 at 8 p.m. ET
Saddle up for a night of Western epics in this classic two-pack starring Oscar® winner William Holden, as a cattleman kidnapped by Confederates in Edward Dmytryk’s ALVAREZ KELLY, with Richard Widmark. Then, Holden and Glenn Ford star as two best friends on opposite sides of the law in TEXAS, at 9:55 p.m. ET.
ZOMBIELAND (2009)—Fri., October 14 at 10 p.m. ET
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Emma Stone star as a motley crew of apocalypse survivors on a cross-country trek through a zombie-filled America, in this 2009 farce that also stars Abigail Breslin, Amber Heard, and Bill Murray.
Tom Cruise x3—Fri., October 21 at 8 p.m. ET
SMC pays tribute to Tom Cruise with a Friday triple feature, starring as a young attorney defending Marines accused of murder in Rob Reiner’s A FEW GOOD MEN, written by Aaron Sorkin and starring Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, and Kiefer Sutherland, at 8 p.m. ET. Halloween Night—Monday, Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. ET
SMC celebrates Halloween with a pair of horror favorites, directed by two of the genre’s most legendary filmmakers. The night begins with Adrienne Barbeau as a DJ in a small town invaded by vengeful spirits in the original John Carpenter classic THE FOG, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Janet Leigh. Then, Barbeau is back in action as a government agent who falls for a mutated scientist in the 1982 Wes Craven creature feature SWAMP THING, with Louis Jourdan and Ray Wise, at 11:35 p.m. ET.
